Sinclair is Hiring! Join Our Team as a Global Finance Operating Model Lead

Location: Netherlands. 

This is a newly created global role designed to support the company’s transformation and implementation of the new operating model. The role will lead the design, execution and continuous improvement of the global finance operating model, ensuring that finance processes across manufacturing, commercial and regional structures are aligned, scalable, efficient, and business-driven.

This position will work closely with the COO, CFO and regional/country finance teams, playing a critical role in budget transformation, process integration, governance, systems alignment, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Support COO to Design and Implement the New Global Finance Operating Model

• Translate the new operating model into practical finance structures, workflows, and responsibilities.
• Define how finance will work across global, regional, and country levels (RACI, ownership, decision rights).
• Align finance support to both commercial and manufacturing operations.
• Ensure clarity, transparency and simplification of financial processes.
• Establish performance metrics and governance frameworks.

Lead and Support the Global Budgeting & Forecasting Transformation

• Co-design the new top-down + bottom-up budget framework with COO and regional teams.
• Build processes that integrate commercial, manufacturing, and operational finance inputs.
• Enable regional finance leaders to take ownership, while ensuring global consistency.
• Develop templates, timelines, calendar, tools, and review cycles.
• Facilitate consolidation and scenario planning with HMC (our shareholders) and FP&A.

Align Finance Operations across all sites (Manufacturing + Commercial)

• Map current finance processes across each region/manufacturing sites.
• Identify inefficiencies, duplications or gaps.
• Standardize key processes (P2P, O2C, inventory, cost management, CAPEX, etc.).
• Introduce best practices and harmonised policies.
• Support digitalization and system integration (ERP, CRM, reporting tools).
• Ensure alignment between finance, operations, supply chain, commercial, and corporate support functions.

Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with regional finance leaders, GM, commercial, manufacturing, and HR.
• Communicate, train and embed new processes.
• Support capability building and organisational readiness.

Continuous Improvement & Future-State Design

• Build a roadmap for continuous optimisation of finance operating model.
• Introduce a global finance playbook/ best practice library.
• Drive efficiency, automation, standardisation, and governance.

Business Partner to COO and Senior Leadership

• Act as a thought partner on financial operating model strategy.
• Provide insights on integration, scalability, and structure.
• Ensure finance supports business strategy, growth and profitability.

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Finance roles, including:
• Experience in Finance Transformation or Operating Model Design (must have led or played a major role).
• Global or multi-region exposure, ideally across Europe, APAC, Americas.
• Experience working in complex matrix organisations.
• Proven experience working across manufacturing and commercial finance.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, cost management, and financial operations.
• Experience implementing or improving financial processes, systems, governance or controls.
• Demonstrated ability to work with C-level stakeholders (COO, CFO, CEO).
• Experience leading cross-functional or cross-country project teams.
• Prior exposure to ERP or finance system implementation or finance digitalization is a strong advantage.
• Experience in pharma, medical device, consumer health, or a similar regulated / complex industry is desirable but not mandatory.
