This role is accountable for establishing end-to-end financial control, cost discipline, and operational efficiency across the Injectables manufacturing network, with primary oversight of the production sites in Lyon (France) and Almere (Netherlands).
Following the transition away from centralised control, this position will embed site-level ownership of COGS, drive cost transparency, and instil a performance-driven culture within manufacturing operations.
The role goes beyond traditional finance and acts as a strategic and operational partner to plant leadership, ensuring that cost, efficiency, and performance are actively managed and continuously improved.
Reporting Line
Reports to: Global Finance Leadership Team
Matrix reporting to: Plant Managers (Lyon and Almere)
Key stakeholders: Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement
The ideal candidate will have:
10+ years in manufacturing finance or operations finance.
Strong experience in COGS control and cost optimisation.
Proven track record in performance improvement.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change.

What You'll Be Doing:
1. Ownership of Manufacturing Cost (COGS)
Take full ownership of COGS across Injectables manufacturing, including materials, labour, overheads, and variances.
Establish clear cost visibility and accountability at site and functional levels.
Lead monthly cost reviews with plant leadership, driving actions and accountability.
2. Cost Control & Financial Governance
Implement robust cost control frameworks and approval processes across both sites.
Strengthen OPEX and CAPEX governance, ensuring disciplined spend management.
Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain to control input costs and supplier efficiencies.
3. Performance Improvement & Efficiency
Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
Drive continuous improvement agenda with Operations and Technical teams.
Translate operational performance into financial impact and actionable insights.
4. Financial Structure & Standardisation
Build and standardise costing models and variance analysis.
Establish consistent financial processes, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
Ensure alignment with global finance standards.
5. Business Partnering with Manufacturing Leadership
Act as a trusted partner to Plant Managers, challenging and supporting decisions.
Embed cost ownership within operations.
Provide forward-looking insights for planning and investments.
6. Transformation & Cultural Change
Drive shift to proactive site-level ownership.
Upskill plant teams on financial awareness.
Establish accountability mindset across manufacturing.
